There's an idea that's been working its way around in my head for a while. It's basically a transformation version of a slasher flick: a large, diverse group of people wind up in a mysterious location (a mansion, in this case) for some reason (they've been invited to a party) and events transpire that cause some of the group to split off from the rest (the first one to solve a puzzle gets a prize, so they go looking for clues). While so separated, they are picked off (transformed) one-by-one until finally the main group notices that there's a threat and they must work together to escape/defeat the threat (or help those who have been transformed).

Why am I mentioning this? Because I'd like some help coming up with ideas for what happens to the various party guests.

As far as plot-critical events and transformations go, I have a good number planned out. But a good slasher-style story needs non-critical targets, too - a lot of them. I need transformations and triggers to go with them. What sort of transformations am I looking for? I'm open to a wide variety, as long as the trigger is the sort of thing that would be found in an old mansion (or at a party). For example: Looking in an old bottle to see if there's a clue inside? Get sucked in and turned into a genie. Look for a clue buried in the garden? Become part of the garden. Go into the hedge maze? Every maze needs a guardian. See what's going on and decide the best course of action is to stay as still as a statue and not do anything until help arrives? End up staying still considerably longer.

Food and drink related transformations would also be good, though they would mostly play a smaller part in the story (because once things got real, who would trust any of the food?). Of course, there's no need to mention blueberry pie - that's a given.

Looking at them, all of those I've listed are disabling, and I don't want to give the idea that that's the only sort of thing I'm looking for. Non-disabling transformations (especially those that can be used as a base for further transformation) are good, too. TG? Multibreast? Animal (full or partial)? Something utterly bizarre? As long as there's a reasonable trigger, bring it on. I can't guarantee that it will be used, but I'd still like to hear it.
2015 is just a few hours from ending over here. At the very least, it was more productive for me than 2014 (48 images vs 4). And hey, I finally did something I'd been wanting to do for years - the Choose the Change series. That was fun. Maybe it didn't go as smoothly as it could have (I need a procedure for breaking ties), and relatively few spoke up (maybe I should have a set of options for each body part, so people don't have to come up with suggestions of their own?), but I'm still quite happy with it. If things continue going well, I'll have another one in a few months.

But before that, I've got some other plans. I'm thinking that I'll start a smaller audience participation project, tentatively titled "Build a Chimera," in January. It'll be similar, but its subject will just have three changes: legs and lower body, torso and arms, and head and neck, in that order. It should be fun.

February, of course, will be dedicated to the video game event of the year: The western release of Project X Zone 2. I probably won't come close to getting every female character TF'd, but I already have quite a few lined up.

March, as was established this year, is Moo Moo March, a month for bovine transformations.

And that's as far as I have real plans. I might dedicate April to donkey transformations, or I might start the next Choose the Change then. Or I might do something I haven't thought of, yet.

One last thought before saying goodbye for 2015: Would a reverse centaur have a horse head and forelegs atop a human lower body, would it just be a horse head mounted atop a human lower body, or would it be a horse's head and forelegs sprouting from a human neck? I know what Urban Dictionary says, but I want to know what you folks think.

Well, goodbye for 2015.

Have a happy 2016.
So we are once again approaching that most sacred and holy of holidays: the day when a game in the Project X Zone series will release in the West! And naturally, I want to celebrate the same way I did last time: By transforming the game's heroines in various ways.

Itty-bitty issue, though: I'm less familiar with this group of characters, and of those I am familiar with, I already mostly used my A-material. There are only a few that I have really solid ideas for. So I am taking suggestions for how I should transform the rest.

This time around, I need suggestions for:

Morrigan Aensland (Darkstalkers)
Felicia (Darkstalkers)
Chun-Li (Street Fighter)
Ingrid (Street Fighter)
Ling Xiaoyu (Tekken)
Ciel Alençon (God Eater 2)
Nana Kazuki/Kouzuki (God Eater 2)
Alisa Illinichina Amiella (God Eater)
KOS-MOS (Xenosaga)
Fiora (Xenoblade)
Erica Fontaine (Sakura Wars)
Sakura Shinguji (Sakura Wars)
Gemini Sunrise (Sakura Wars)
Lucina (Fire Emblem: Awakening)
June Lin Milliam (Star Gladiator)
Maya Fey (Ace Attorney)
Natsu (Soul Calibur)
Aty (Summon Night)
Estelle (Tales of Vesperia)
Hibana (Nightshade)
Ulala (Space Channel 5)
Leanne (Resonance of Fate)

I probably won't get to all of them, but it's good to keep one's options open.

Oh, and I suppose Christmas is also coming up. Not quite as big of a deal, but maybe I should do something for it. I already have a little something planned (involving Elsa, to go with the Anna I drew in January), but I wouldn't say no to hearing some (non-PXZ) Christmas-y suggestions as well.
It appears that during an Italian press conference Bandai Namco just revealed the existence of Project X Zone 2 Brave New World for the 3DS. Some of you may recall that I got a little bit excited in the lead-up to the NA release of the original Project X Zone.

So here are my thoughts on this news: GIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMME GIMMEITNOW! GIVE IT TO ME NOW! I WANT IT NOW! NOWNOWNOWNOWNOWNOW! GIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMME!

Update: And now a trailer has been released.

Some interesting new additions, but I'm a bit concerned about how it looks like the existing teams may have been shaken up. Don't get me wrong, change can be a good thing, but this trailer makes it look like Estelle, Black Rose, Gemini, and Sakura have been cut. I hope that isn't the case. Here's hoping they've just been shuffled to different teams.

The JP, EU, and NA trailers all show Autumn/Fall 2015 release dates, so we may be looking at a simultaneous/near simultaneous worldwide release.
Hey there, people who care to read my journal entries!

I hope you enjoyed Moo Moo March; I sure did. But now it's over, and it's going to be a while before I feel the need to draw another cowgirl.

But I do like the idea of monthly themes; themes make it much easier to focus on drawing. Heck, I was trying to come up with my own theme for March before I heard about Moo Moo March.

Do you folks have any ideas for themes for April that you'd like to share? They need not be alliterative, but associative is preferred (I'd like them to have something to do with April. Though they don't have to be CLOSELY related. If there's a chain of associations between April and a theme, I'm interested in hearing it).

Thanks for reading.
I've made something of a tradition of posting a naga every December 21st, but I can't do it this year. The computer I use to draw is broken, so I can't draw until it's fixed. Just putting this here so that if there's anyone who cares they won't think I abandoned it.

Hey there, people who respond to the stuff I write. Would you rather know exactly what you're getting into beforehand (which might lead to a more aesthetically pleasing result), only know half the details, or go in completely blind ( either of which might get a more WTF result)? I need to know for a thing, but I can't say what the thing is because surprise is one of the options.

Thanks!

So it looks like I found my limit with the Project X Zone TF Project. It's a pity because the remaining few were some that I had pretty solid ideas about, but I just don't have it in me to draw them right now. I found myself dreading opening my art program to draw what would have been today's. I need to do something else for a while. I might take care of them at a later time. Sorry to anyone who was looking forward to them.
If you have a 3DS and haven't already done so, get to the eshop and download the demo, now.  It is now available in all regions. You might have to go to the game's page instead of the demo section, at least I did. Play through it a couple times; the gameplay might not click the first time around, but it should get better the more you play.

Why am I making a big deal out of this? Because I've been looking forward to PXZ for a ridiculous amount of time, and haven't exactly had the best year so far. Don't mean to complain; just to explain (incidentally, it's also why I flaked on a couple things). So finally getting something good - even a little something - has me enthusiastic.

Now, those of you who already know about the game may have noticed that there seems to be a connection between my recent activity and the game. That is, for the past few days I've been transforming characters who appear in PXZ. And I hope to continue doing so until launch on the 25th.

But I have a problem: I really like my transformations to fit the characters I transform, but I don't actually know many of the characters in the game. So I'm outsourcing the coming-up-with-ideas part to you, my watchers who have bothered to read this far in.

I am hereby taking suggestions for transformations for the following characters:
Lady (Devil May Cry)
Jill Valentine (Resident Evil)
Estelle (Tales of Vesperia)
Leanne (Resonance of Fate)
Sakura Shinguuji and Aya-me (Sakura Wars)
Cyrille and Riemsianne (Shining Force)
Ulala (Space Channel 5)
Riela, Imca, and Selvaria (Valkyria Chronicles)
Pai Chan (Virtua Fighter)
Q-Bee (Darkstalkers)

Each suggestion should be for the character on her own. I need enough to last until launch, so I can't be grouping them together.

The other characters I either have my own plans for or don't feel comfortable transforming. Or I just missed them when making my list.
I've been meaning to do a Q&A thing for a while, so why not now? Serious questions, joke questions, riddles as old as time, whatever. If you care to ask, I'll see about answering.

RULES :
1. You must post these rules.
2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you, and create new questions for the people you tag to answer.
3. You have to choose 10 people to tag and post their icons on your journal
4. Go to their pages and tell them you have tagged her/him.
5. No tag backs.
6. No crap in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you're reading this." You have to tag 10 people

1) Do you watch professional wrestling, and if so, what is your favorite championship belt design-wise?
I don't watch wrestling.

2) If you like energy drinks, which is your favorite?
Don't touch the stuff.

3) Favorite retro gaming console?
Nintendo Entertainment System.

4) Your opinion on mary/martystu characters?
Like most things in life, they can be done well or they can be done poorly. If the author is capable of making a sue into a character that the audience finds interesting and/or amusing, then there's no problem with using a sue. If the author can't make a sue into an interesting or amusing character, then the author probably wouldn't be able to portray canon characters in interesting or amusing ways, so the story probably would't be worth reading even without the sue's intrusion.

5) If you could remake any older game (pre-1995) which would it be?
E.T. the Extraterrestrial. That would get an interesting reaction.

6) If you were stuck on a desert island and could only listen to one album, what would it be?
Is there an album that contains survival tips in song form? Because if there is, that. Otherwise I'll go with Nana Mizuki's Hybrid Universe.

7) Have you ever broken any part of your anatomy?
Nope.

8) What would your dream vacation/getaway be? Money is no object.
Olympus Mons, Mars.

9) Favorite pizza? Chain, crust, toppings, et cetera.
Godfather's cheesy pepperoni.

10) Your opinion on "werecelebrities", as seen in the writings of one monstermaster13/DrMusic-2?
I've just looked them up, and I'd prefer not to think about them any longer.

And that's it. I'm not making my own questions or tagging anyone.
Hahaha... hehehe... I finally finished with the voting game. I can hardly believe it took that long. I thought it would only last a couple months at most when I started it, and it ended up taking the better part of a year.

At least I learned a little from it. Like how I should always fully plan out a project before proceeding with it instead of making things up on the fly and to write down the consequences I have planned for each option so that I don't forget what they do.

Well, that's over. Now on to other projects.
I just got a message about dA's new Premium Content Platform. It led me to this journal. If you don't feel like following the link, I think the gist of it is that people are going to start being able to charge deviantArt points for downloads of their stuff.

The reason I'm asking if anybody else got it is that in the journal (which only came out a couple hours ago) says that only a small segment of dA's population has been granted the privilege of selling, but the message in my inbox says that my account has been enabled to sell content. Even though I don't have any real intention to use this feature, I'm curious about if I actually somehow got selected for an early stage of the release.

So, yeah, anybody else get the same message?

EDIT: I just remembered that I have an old account I stopped using years ago and checked with it. It didn't get the message. Combine that with three artists who have confirmed that they got it, and it looks like the requirements for selection are just being an active submitter.
Some of you may have noticed that my postings lately have been few and far between. At least, it feels that way to me. The problem is that I haven't been feeling very inspired lately.

My inspiration for transformation comes from the sense that the transformation makes a certain amount of sense for the character. Maybe the victim is associated with the animal/object somehow, maybe the name sounds similar, maybe it fits/directly contradicts parts of that character, all of these things inspire me. Just about anyone and just about any kind of transformation is fine by me as long as it fits one of those.

But I'm having a hard time coming up with more. It feels like I've tapped my well dry. What to do?

Get ideas from other people, that's what.

In other words: I'm taking requests again, but the requester has to say why the transformation makes sense for the victim and/or setting. And provide a reference unless it's a character I've drawn before, but that part should be obvious.
I'm going to be hitting you up for ideas now.

I need examples of:

A toy
An electronic device (something with a computer in it)
Something funny (can be a living creature)
Something associated with leadership (can be a living creature)
A weapon
Something you might find in an office.

Why do I need these? Because there are some people I want to transform, and I know the categories of stuff I want to transform them into, but not the specific objects. So please, throw out some suggestions and I'll pick the ones I like best.

So, anyone wanna provide some ideas?
Imagine this: A young man wakes up in a mysterious room, alone, with no idea of how he got there. The room is empty except for him, a locked door, a few random items, and a note. The note says that each of the objects can be used to escape the room, but that each of them will change his fate.

The character would go through a series of several rooms, with each room causing another change based on how the character chooses to get out of the room. Each room would have five options for the character to get to the next room. Naturally each of the items in the first room would cause a TG (but each with a different outcome).

How would I decide which path the poor victim takes? That's where you come in! Anyone who wanted to could vote in the comments for each page. Voting would be open for a week for each room.

Does this sound interesting? If so, please reply to this post. If I get six people who like this then I'll go ahead with the project. Why six? Partly because this would be a pretty large project, and I'd only do it if I thought there would be an audience for it and partly because I want to avoid ties.
I guess since I've passed 15K views it's time for me to close the second poll.  I'll get to work on the picture, then.
First thing's first:  I've finally started a series I've been thinking about on-and-off for a long time now: Sailors Around the House.  Basic idea is simple, the nine Sailors are being turned into various household objects that would be associated with them, either their powers or personality.

The thing is, despite thinking about this for a while, I've only settled on transformations for a few of them.  I have some ideas I'm not settled on for some of them, and I'd like to get some viewer input.

Venus:  I dunno, maybe a microphone or a speaker?  Other ideas?
Moon: ???
Jupiter:  Maybe a standing lamp?  Other ideas?
Saturn:  ???
Uranus:  ???
Neptune:  Washing machine or bathtub?  (If Mercury is one, she'll be the other)

You may have noticed that Mars isn't on the list.  That's because she's next and I already know what will happen to her.  I DO NOT want suggestions for her.

I'd like it if suggestions used the following template:  (Insert name here) should be a (insert household item here) because (connection with personality or connection with power).
For example:  Sailor Pluto should be a grandfather clock because of her association with time.  Simple, right?  So what do you guys think?

----

As I approach the 15K mark, I find myself without an idea of what to do for it.  So I'm going to be putting up a couple of polls between now and the time I hit 15K views.  This first one will decide what series I use.  Keep in mind that I won't necessarily be using all of the characters from the winning series, so don't base your vote off of which one you think will result in the most content.
